OESA invites regular and affiliate members to a members only town hall meeting with Scott R. Garberding, senior vice president and chief procurement officer, Chrysler LLC, and Chrysler purchasing staff, May 14, 2009, at the MSU Management Education Center, Troy, Mich.  The town hall offers OESA members a unique opportunity to have an open question and answer session with members of the Chrysler purchasing team.

 

Chrysler has made – and will continue to make – significant structural changes within the company and its supply chain.  These changes, federal actions and the dramatic downturn in global sales volumes have resulted in significant restructuring at Chrysler since the 2008 town hall. Garberding will update attendees on the state of the company and sourcing strategies supporting Chrysler’s marketing and manufacturing footprint. 

 

Following Garberding’s update, the town hall provides a 60-minute session for suppliers to ask questions and direct comments on Chrysler’s procurement initiatives. By participating in this town hall, OESA members have the opportunity to speak directly with Chrysler purchasing executives relevant to business issues.

           

Registration and networking is 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. The town hall program runs from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and includes approximately 20 minutes for Garberding’s prepared remarks and a 60 minute question and answer session.
