Automotive suppliers are the backbone behind new innovations that consumers enjoy to make lives more productive, enjoyable and safe while on America’s roads. OESA and MEMA are leading representatives of automotive parts and component suppliers in Washington, D.C. providing strong federal and state advocacy and representation for members. OESA and MEMA’s Washington, D.C. staff regularly meet with Members of Congress and staff, regulatory officials and members of the Administration to shape regulations and legislation directly affecting the automotive supplier industry. OESA and MEMA’s legislative priorities are determined each year by the Government Affairs Committee, a working group made up of executives from OESA, the Automotive Aftermarket Association and the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association. The GAC guides the Washington, D.C. staff in establishing specific legislative, regulatory and public affairs goals and the plans to achieve these goals. Participation is open to all OESA member companies.
