OESA and PRTM Management Consultants present “China Sourcing: Challenges and Lessons Learned,” Monday, April 3, 2006 during SAE 2006 World Congress at Cobo Center in Detroit. The half-day program will focus on supplier sourcing strategies in China for the Asian market and export to other regions. Mustafa Mohatarem, chief economist, General Motors Corporation, will deliver the keynote address, “GM in China: Lessons Learned.” In 2005, GM captured headlines by gaining 11.2 percent of market share in China with sales of 665,000 units produced by Shanghai GM and SAIC-GM Wuling, joint ventures with Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation. Mohatarem will discuss key contributors to the success of the joint ventures and how supplier can increase business with GM in China.
